Snyder vs Erdogan: a champion who came up through wrestling

Before Real American Freestyle existed, Kyle Snyder had already won an Olympic title and three world titles. He won them on a mat, and he has not left one since.

In the league he is 5-0, and the Light Heavyweight Championship has not changed hands since he took it. Shamil Erdogan, 36, has never wrestled in the league, and this is where he starts.

Three of the four belts contested on 14 November belong to wrestlers — Snyder, Kyle Dake and Kennedy Blades. The fourth is the crossover title in the main event.
